Feminism and Anti-Patriarchy

As a female and feminist led organization, we know what it's like to deal with misogyny and struggle under the patriarchy. We call for an abolishment of the patriarchy and we think that all humans, no matter their sex or gender, should be given equal rights and opportunities. Feminism is an important social justice movement that has fought for our rights in many different ways...everything from the ability to make our own money and have our own bank accounts or own property, to voting, to having the right to dress how we want, to doing whatever we want with our own bodies, to breaking down gender roles and stereotypes, to choosing whether or not we want to get married or have kids, to fighting against rape and domestic violence and the killing of women etc. We hope it continues to prosper so that one day the patriarchy is demolished and we are free to live our lives as we wish without dealing with systemic sexism.

We understand that both abortion and animal agriculture are inherently anti-feminist in nature, as they are the most exploitative and oppressive concepts to women and female reproductive systems. In abortion, not only are female fetuses killed at a higher rate due to people preferring sons, but pregnant people are systemically exploited by the abortion industry by being told we can't be mothers if our lives aren't perfect and that our children are clumps of cells, when in reality it's a scientific fact that they are distinct living human beings with various body parts before we even know we are pregnant. Animal agriculture includes raping and forcefully artificially inseminating cows to force them to be pregnant to create milk, kidnapping the calf and killing them for veal if they are a boy or putting them in the same system their mother is in if they are a girl, stealing the milk from their udders for humans to drink, or using hens as egg laying machines and killing male chicks as they are of no use to the egg industry.

Because of these things, we understand that anything less than pro-life vegan feminism is not actually feminism, and we call on all people who identify as feminist to live by their values and take a stand against abortion and animal agriculture.

Sex Work

A lot of hatred of sex work comes from the shaming of female sexuality which has been oppressed for millennia because women and female bodied people are stereotyped as not being as sexual as men. Not to mention male sex workers exist as well and yet don't receive the same hate. We acknowledge that sex trafficking, rape, abuse, and being pressured into sex work in one way or another are all terrible things that must be stopped. We also acknowledge that the dehumanization of people who love sexual activity enough to want to get paid for it must also be stopped.

Women and females choose sex work for a number of reasons. No one should ever have to do it out of desperation and no one should ever be told that doing it out of expressing sexuality is wrong in a world where any other form of work is considered acceptable. In a post-capitalist moneyless society, sex work naturally won't exist the same way, but until then, those who make money off of their love of sexual activity should not be selectively looked more down upon.

Birth Control, Sex Ed, and Federal Paid Family Leave

We believe that everyone should have a right to have sex without creating a child, as long as no one is killed. There are various types of contraception these days and we support the efforts to create male birth control so that it doesn't all have to be on the person with the uterus to prevent pregnancy. We also want more promotion of the types of birth control people don't talk about enough, such as cervical caps, vaginal and unisex condoms, diaphragms, and contraceptive sponges.

We support efforts to create comprehensive sex ed. Every teen should be properly aware of how sex works, the different types of sex and which ones can get you pregnant, consent and what coercion is, using birth control properly and how to prevent STDs, embryology, and the LGBT spectrum. Birth control and sex education are important tools for lowering the abortion rate.

We also believe that if governments are going to exist, they need to provide family leave for the parents. The number one reason abortions happen is because people are made to feel like they cannot afford to raise a child. The last thing parents should have to worry about is having to choose between getting paid and spending time with their kids.

POC rights, Indigenous Rights, Immigrant Rights, and Police Brutality

We support the efforts of the Black Lives Matter movement and the destruction of white supremacy and think that all humans, no matter their race, Indigenous ancestry, immigrant status, or where they live, should have equal rights. We recognize that the police and prison system unfairly attacks people of color. The police target and kill POC at a higher rate. POC are disproportionately thrown in jails more, even for nonviolent drug crimes. We're proud that there has been more push in recent years to disarm, defund, and abolish the police and replace with more equitable systems. We call for an end to any and all racial profiling.

We admire indigenous movements such as Land Back, and movements to grant immigrants more rights such as abolishing ICE and considering open borders. No one is illegal on colonized land. We also acknowledge that POC, indigenous, and immigrant pro-lifers and vegans tend to get erased. There is a lot of history of these groups being a part of both of these social justice movements. We don't believe that anyone can truly support the rights of these groups while painting pro-lifeism or veganism as something for privileged white people, as that erases so much history and the connections between racism and abortion and animal agriculture.

Palestine:
We stand with Palestinians, Israelis, and Jewish people all around the world against the state of Israel, and in support of Palestinian liberation. There are endless atrocities that have been committed on Palestinians including but not limited to starvation, being given less rights than Israelis, being pushed out of land, and being mass killed.

As an anti racist, nonviolence, anti war, anti imperialism, and anti colonialism organization, we condemn Israel for its genocide, ethnic cleansing, and apartheid on Palestine. As a pro-life organization, we recognize that most victims of this genocide are women and children. Gaza is almost half children and thousands of babies have been killed, including preborn babies. As a feminist organization, we not only recognize the women who were killed (including pregnant women) or raped in this genocide and since the 1948 Nakba, but we also cannot stand for rape victims being used as pawns to support this genocide, and female soldiers being pushed into sexualizing themselves to manipulate men to support this genocide.

As a vegan and pro-queer organization, we recognize not only that nonhuman animals are victims of bombings too, losing their lives to the anger of humans wanting to kill other humans, but also that there are many vegan and queer Palestinians who get erased—and are currently being killed by Israel. We support organizations like Vegan in Palestine and Al-Qaws in their efforts to resist these forms of erasure. We recognize that Israel tries to portray itself as extremely vegan and queer, despite not even having legal gay marriage and not having many legal protections for nonhuman animals, leading to rainbow washing and vegan washing as a way to try to manipulate the west and progressives to support Israel. As an environmentalist organization, we recognize that bombs harm the environment in many ways, including destroying land and causing pollution of water, soil, and air.

We also recognize that it is antisemitic to try to convince Jewish people, who are the descendants of genocide and ethnonationalism victims, to believe in genocide and ethnonationalism by telling them that they are antisemitic if they don't. There is no worse slap in the face than taking these people who are grieving their loved ones who were killed and telling them that they have to believe in doing the same thing to another group of people in their name or else they are harming their family members. We stand with the organizations Jewish Voice for Peace and If Not Now, and believe in the motto, “Genocide is Not a Jewish Value.”

Classism and Anti-Capitalism

Whether the answer is basic anarchism, communism, socialism, or something similar, we acknowledge that capitalism has failed so many people and has failed as a concept. Both abortion and animal agriculture are tied to capitalism. The abortion industry makes billions of dollars per year off of the mass exploitation of women and pregnant people and the mass killing of young human beings. The Abortion Industrial Complex was able to become powerful enough to convince people to accept abortion when they otherwise would fight against it, by dehumanizing human beings and spreading various other lies as well. Likewise, the animal agriculture industry makes billions of dollars per year off of the mass exploitation and killing of our fellow animals. The Animal Agriculture Industrial Complex was able to become powerful enough to convince people to accept the subjugation of other animals by spreading lies about needing meat and eggs for protein or milk for calcium, and lies about the pain tolerance or sentience of animals.

We support mutual aid, social safety nets, and workers rights such as a liveable wage and ability to unionize, have paid family leave, have paid vacation, have hours that don't lead to being overworked, and other such things. Classism often discriminates against poor working class people by both removing rights and treating wealthy people as superior. No one should ever be shamed for not making a lot of money, and no one should have to struggle because their boss refuses to pay them well enough in a society that requires money to survive. We look forward to the spread of conversations on a moneyless society and how we can have a resource based economy.

LGBTQIA+ Rights

We believe that everyone should be treated equally no matter their sexual orientation or gender identity. Things like transphobia and homophobia contribute to deaths from hate crimes as well as large rates of suicide for these groups. Everyone should be free to be their true selves, live their truth, and love whoever they want as long as they are able to consent. We’re happy that Pride parades seem increasingly popular and honor the history of the Stonewall Riots. To truly have family values, you have to be accepting of your queer family members and allow them to be themselves. LGBTQIA+ people/sex/relationships are no less valuable or worthy of rights than cishet people/sex/relationships.

We call for an end to conversion therapy as well as an end to not respecting the bodies of intersex people by forcing surgeries on them when they are too young to consent. We call for people on the ace and aro spectrums to be respected for any decisions to be without partners, and for bi erasure to end, as well as the erasure of LGBTQIA+ pro-lifers. Trans rights and gay rights start at conception. We support the efforts of Rainbow Pro-Life Alliance to provide a home for pro-lifers on the queer spectrum.

Climate Change and Environmentalism

Climate change is something that primarily affects younger people who will inherit the effects of it. As a Millenial and Gen Z led org, we are terrified of what our futures hold in terms of the destruction that climate change will cause. As earthlings, we think that humans need to do a better job at taking care of the earth and ecosystem. We should be able to enjoy the lands we walk on instead of watch them burn down, flood out, or become destroyed by hurricanes. We should be caretakers of the earth, not the destroyers of it. We also acknowledge that indigenous groups have done a much better job and the effects are primarily due to not just animal agriculture but also the industrial revolution, capitalism, white supremacy, and colonialism.

While veganism is an animal rights stance, it does also have the added benefit of helping climate change immensely. Any and all environmental organizations and bills need to acknowledge this and push for veganism first and foremost because the destruction that animal agriculture causes is immense. More info on how animal agriculture destroys the environment in many ways can be found here.

Ableism and Disabled Rights

The discrimination of people with disabilities is a particularly dangerous one, as it can lead to people not being able to access medications or aids. Someone's medical differences do not make them any less valuable or worthy of rights. Abortion is particularly ableist in nature because one of the most accepted reasons for aborting is if the child has a disability. Ableism has long been part of eugenics, and the killing of human beings with disabilities in the womb is a huge part of that. For instance, people with Down Syndrome get slaughtered in utero at very high rates because able-bodied people don't want to admit that their lives are valuable, despite those who survived routinely showing that they love their lives in extremely high percentages. No one has a right to judge someone else's quality of or value of life besides them.

Universal Healthcare and Universal Necessities

We hope that the United States of America joins the rest of the world in providing universal healthcare so that people don’t have to die from things like rationing insulin, or go into medical debt. Healthcare is a necessity in order to survive, and it should not come at a cost to those receiving it. In addition, when the necessities of living, such as not only healthcare but also food, water, shelter, and utilities is given only to those who have enough money, life becomes a privilege and not a right. No one should have to starve or live on the street and risk freezing to death because they don’t have enough money to pay for these necessities. We strive for a world where the necessities of living truly become a right.

War

We can never be truly free if we are not free from war. In addition to teenagers being sent to fight battles that their governments want to wage, war causes civilian casualties including children. Governments drop bombs expecting to target soldiers and routinely kill civilian bystanders. Wars are often fought for petty reasons such as wanting to take over land or oil. The American government in particular trains its citizens to think of other countries as the enemy but just because someone lives in a different country does not mean they should be killed. Western imperialism has wreaked havoc on the world and must be stopped. We support peace and nonviolence toward all. A peaceful world is a just world.

Circumcision

We acknowledge the right of the people to decide for themselves whether or not circumcision is a right fit for their bodies and lives when old enough to do so. We reject the routine forcing of circumcision on babies who can't consent. The treating of children's bodies and lives as property to harm as others see fit is present in abortion, circumcision, and non-veganism alike. Just as with abortion and animal exploitation, people have a tendency to say that these acts which harm the bodies of others are their choice. But as we know, when a choice has a victim, it's not a personal choice. The bodily rights of youth are an important part of an equitable society.

While circumcision in the USA mostly happens for non cultural/religious reasons, there are some religions around the world that practice it, such as Judaism. We feel that everyone has a right to practice cultural traditions and have them be respected, as long as they don’t harm anyone. While cultural practices can be a sensitive issue because they are things people grew up with and may feel emotionally attached to and that is understandable, Jewish boys also deserve to be free from that violence because cultures and religions shouldn't be harming those who are a part of them, and especially not those who are particularly vulnerable (such as babies). We think taking a stand against anti-semitism and taking a stand against circumcision go hand-in-hand.

As an anti-violence organization, we feel that it would be inconsistent to say that Jewish boys can be harmed in the name of their cultural tradition. There is a growing number of Jewish people who feel the same way. The organization Bruchim exists as a way for Jewish people who choose not to circumcise to be accepted in the Jewish community and be open about their position. The goal is to stop the marginalization of Jewish people who are questioning this cultural practice. Feel free to read this article on the subject: These Jews want to normalize not circumcising — and they want synagogues to help

Gun Control

Statistics show that around 90% of Americans support universal background checks. Whether the answer is gun abolishment or common sense gun laws like universal background checks, red flag laws, and licensing, we appreciate the efforts of today's youth to take a stand against mass and school shootings. It seems clear that no matter what side of the political spectrum you are on and no matter if you are a gun owner or not, the American public agrees that something has to change. The Gun Industrial Complex makes billions of dollars per year off of the selling of guns, gun accessories, and hunting licenses. They have a vested interest in making sure that no gun laws are passed, and they do this through the NRA. But people should have a right to not be shooting victims. People need to matter over property and more should be done to ease the amount of gun violence and mass shootings that are happening.

Studies show that women are over 5 times more likely to be murdered in domestic violence situations when their partners have access to a gun. Since gun violence primarily targets women, people of color, disabled people, LGBTQIA+ people, and poor people, we see the gun control spectrum as a valuable part of feminism, anti-racism, anti-ableism, anti LGBTQIA+ oppression, and anti-classism. We’re happy that there are orgs out there such as Gays Against Guns and Women Against Gun Violence that tackle the issue from a minority perspective. The reality is that there are around 100 million more guns than people in the US. The solution to our country’s gun violence problem has never been and will never be more guns. If it was, everything would have been solved decades ago.

The Death Penalty

The Innocence Project shows that many people who have been on death row were actually innocent. In addition to risking the killing of the innocent, it is also hypocritical for society to take a stand against killing but then kill those who are serving time in prison. It also seems like a reach to give the government the power to execute its own citizens. POC are more likely to be caught in this system, and an equitable society would not be using the justice system as a way to continue the killing of minority groups.
